CANTO COVID19 Task Force
The CANTO Covid 19 Task Force has been established to support our members, engage Governments and Regulators and share best practices amid the current health crisis facing the world.
Cooperation among business, government, health care leaders and civil society is needed at every level if we are to minimize risk and get the best chance of effective solutions and a quick recovery.
In times such as these, the services provided by the communications industry, including our very own CANTO Members; proves to be the backbone of all other essential services. In a world where sovereign states are closing their borders, communication is vital. CANTO members are at the heart of this pandemic, providing access to the billions around the world, who are working from home, monitoring lifesaving machines, communication between patients and health care workers, providing forecasts on supplies and tracking persons who needs to be tested while providing a voice to comfort the distraught.
We are therefore asking that you or a representative from your organisation be a part of this committee that will address topics such as Work from Home Best Practices, Productivity Tools, Balancing Business & CSR in times of Crisis and, How to take Care of your Employees Working from home. In addition, the Task force will provide updates on what our members are doing to assist the governments of the region in this tiring time.
The CANTO Disaster Recovery Management Committee DRM process has been activated and the region’s country status are being monitored.
The Secretariat wishes to assure our members and the wider community of our commitment in this time of uncertainty.
