| Started in 1998 as a spin-off company of the internationally recognised Department of Information Technology of Ghent University in Belgium. Comsof provides consultancy services and develops customized and dedicated software solutions for the telecom industry. Comsof is market leader with its software platform FiberPlanIT, which makes FTTx network planning smart, fast and easy. This flexible software can be used in the strategic planning phase – for estimating costs, comparing technologies and so maximizing the Return on Investment – as well as for the detailed network design – for creating optimized to-build plans while integrating field survey data. This is possible thanks to FiberPlanIT’s unique automated and optimized design capabilities based on GIS data. More than 150 clients and 180 projects have been completed worldwide using the software.
