The International Girls’ in ICT Day is an initiative backed by ITU member states to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider careers in the growing field of information and communication technologies (ICTs). International Girls in ICT Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in April every year. The theme for this year is: “Women and Girls and Innovation”.

On the 23rd of April, CANTO in collaboration with Soropotimist International of Port of Spain (SIPoS) will facilitate a one day Girls in ICT Forum which will include a mobile application competition and exhibition. CANTO and SIPOS will host 175 students from the Bishop’s Centenary College based in Woodbrook, Trinidad & Tobago.
