The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence against women is an annual campaign that runs from November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women, to December 10, Human Rights Day.  This international campaign raises awareness and generates action to end violence against women and girls in communities around the world.

The CANTO Women in ICT Committee continues to proactively advocate for a bright future for women and girls, especially in the areas of ICT and STEM, with the firm belief that access to technology can empower women and girls; from the basics of modern education, job security and most important as an innovative tool in combating the various forms of violence against women.

Though 1 in 3 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime, many will remain silent. Talk about abuse with friends, family & coworkers today. Break the silence and show your support and build a community that is ready to end domestic violence. You too can be an advocate.  Raise your voice and make a difference today!

Ending gender-based violence should be important to everyone.

The CANTO Women in ICT Committee stands with the international community as we #OrangeTheWorld!
