GTT’s Contribution to the Citizens of Guyana During COVID-19

GTT has done numerous activities to support their citizens during the months of March-May they are as followed:
- Made Ministry of Public Health’s COVID-19 hotlines toll free
- Closed retail stores to protect staff and customers
- Distributed COVID-19 cancer care packages to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation’ Oncology unit
- Made Help and Shelter hotlines toll free – due to the impact of COVID-19 stipulations on abuse cases
- Partnered with several companies to facilitate easy payment through its subsidiary company Mobile Money Guyana [MMG] – a mobile payment option
- Donated towards HelpGuyana app to benefit public during pandemic
- Donated cleaning agents to Beacon Foundation
- Launched 2 for 2 campaign – a campaign where customers can add their mobile and internet services to receive a promotional 2GB data
- Made SIM application/replacement available online
- Reduced pricing for select corporate broadband services
- Donated 3 months’ worth MMG stipend to MOPH COVID-19 hotline volunteers
- Reopened retail stores with specific guidelines to safeguard staff and customers
- Launched month-long MMG bill payment promo – where persons were encouraged to pay with MMG and win
- Recognised frontline mom’s for mother’s day
- Hosted virtual games night for staff to promote staff engagement
- Made mobile services free for doctors and nurses
- Donated sanitizing agents to NGOs across Guyana
- Launched new offers in LendMe services to benefit customers during curfew hours
- Doubled entry level Blaze internet speed
- Partnered with Airlink for launch of TV service through GTT Blaze internet
